About the Art:
I studied figurative drawing when I was young, the art education I received in China gives a solid foundation in realist style of art. I am always trying to bring out the life and soul of the people in my work which I believe is the ultimate achievement in figurative art. I was born and grow up in China and immigrated to the States in the 1980s. I graduate with an MFA degree from San Diego State University in1997. I have lived and worked in Portland since 2001.
